Anna Ruth
Deno
Mar 27, 1938 — Jun 25, 2025
Anna Ruth Deno (Ann), 87, a lifelong resident of the Tri-Cities in Washington passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. Ann was born in Corning, Arkansas on March 27, 1938, to Happy Sr. and B.E. Pickrell.
Ann graduated from Kennewick High School and then from beauty school in Seattle. She was married twice, first to Don McAlpin then to Frank Deno. Ann and Don had four beautiful children during their marriage; Kimberly, Cynthia, Troy, and Miki.
Ann worked for GTE for many years before going to work in the Hanford area, first at Westinghouse and then retiring from CH2M Hill. She was an avid sports fan, especially football. Her favorite team was the Seahawks, but she rooted for any team that had a bird as their mascot. Outside of spending time with family; crafting and holding yard sales gave her enjoyment. In fact, she started a tradition of making unique Christmas gifts for members of her family.
Ann is survived by her loving daughters, Kimberly Benson (husband Steve), Cynthia Feltman (significant other Guy Kouyian), and Miki Meadows; brothers Happy (Jr) and Michael Pickrell; sisters Patsy Baird, Alice O'Hair, Beverly Tamberrelo, Hope Morris, and Joy Weisenberger; four grandchildren (Scott, Stephanie, Natasha, and Josh), multiple great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, both of her ex-husbands, her son Troy McAlpin, and sisters Deborah and Vickie Pickrell.
Your legacy lives on in us, your loving family. You'll always be on our minds and forever in our hearts. May your soul rest in peace. Arrangements are being handled by Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at the Riverview Heights Cemetery, 1200 S Olympia Street in Kennewick on a future date.
