Ann Ashbaker, 83, of Kennewick, Washington, died December 3rd, 2020 at 11:40 A.M. peacefully in the Trios -Kennewick Hospital. She was born May 13th, 1937 as the second daughter to Leonard and Mabel Bjorkman in Logan, Utah. Ann grew up in Grace, Idaho and graduated from Grace High School. Her sister, Janice Bjorkman Murray, died early at the age of 23, leaving Ann's only nephew, Michael Murray. Ann attended Arizona State University. She was married June 10th, 1959 in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Logan, Utah Temple to Charles Kent Ashbaker. Ann went to work for Intel when they opened up a location in Hillsboro, Oregon and was recognized in 1987 for her hard work and valuable contributions. Ann and Kent have lived their life lives in seven different cities. Ann and Kent sold their home in Gaston, Oregon to live and serve in South Africa for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on a welfare mission to help increase local people's job skills towards employment. Ann and Kent returned to live in Forest Grove, Oregon where they served a second mission in the Neah-kah-nie branch in Rockaway Beach, Oregon. The final move to Kennewick, Washington is where Ann lived out her years enjoying trailer camping and family. Ann's last few years of her life were plagued by dementia. She lived 64 years as a type 1 diabetic with no major complications and she successfully conquered breast cancer and managed to void the global pandemic of 2020 that has affected so many. Ann is survived by her immediate family, her Husband, Son-Jonathan and Mary Ashbaker and their children; Ryan Ashbaker, Megan and Ryan Kienitz and son Carson, Adam Ashbaker, Daughter- Stacey Fataua and her children; Samiuela Fataua, Kent Fataua, and Emelianna Fataua, Son-Eric and Cynthia Ashbaker and children; Kory and Alethearia Ashbaker and stepson Liam, Kiel and Brittney Ashbaker, Kaleb Ashbaker- currently serving a Mission in Chicago, IL, stepson Hudson Cole- currently serving a Mission in Tucson, AZ, and stepdaughter Bailey Cole. We love and miss you Ann, Mother, Aunt, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother.
