Anita Jean Lathim, age 91, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2025 in Kennewick, Washington. Born on June 19, 1933, in Pasco, Washington, Anita lived a long and meaningful life rooted in love for her family and dedication to those she held dear.

Anita was a devoted wife to her late husband Duane Lathim. Their enduring bond was a cornerstone of her life, and she lately often expressed her anticipation of being reunited with him in heaven. Together they built a family that became the center of Anita's world. Also preceding her in death were her parents Harla and Amelia Reynolds and sister Marie Ransier.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: Victor Lathim of Richland; Richard Lathim (Mary) of Pasco; Sherri Parker (Jeff) of Otis Orchards; Dale Lathim (Gayle) of Richland. Eight grandchildren: Laura Middleton (Keith) of Monroe, Michigan, Naomi Dorman (Steven) of Honolulu, Mark (Brooke) of Stanwood, Michael Pankaskie of Renton, Ashley Pankaskie of Seattle, Amy Garber (Jordan) of Pasco, Darren (DayLee) of Hermiston, Kevin (Sarah) of Spokane. Eighteen great grandchildren: Cody Middleton of Las Vegas; Trevor Middleton (Jenae) of Bend, Lacy Middleton of Monroe, MI; Megan Allen (Trent) of Monroe, MI; Amelia Garber, Gabriel Garber, Josiah Garber, Abigail Garber, Miranda Garber, Levi Garber and Autumn Garber all of Pasco; Drayson Lathim and Draxson Lathim of Hermiston; Caleb Dorman and Eli Dorman of Honolulu; Madison Lathim, Alexander Lathim and Benjamin Lathim of Stanwood.

Anita took great joy in keeping close ties with all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her deep commitment to staying connected with each one reflected the warmth and attentiveness that defined her role as a mother and grandmother.

Anita had a passion for crocheting, a craft through which she shared comfort and care with those around her. Whether creating gifts for loved ones or simply enjoying the quiet rhythm of the work, crocheting brought her peace and joy throughout the years.

A loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, Anita's legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.

A funeral Service will be held on May 10, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Mueller's Funeral Home, 1401 South Union Street in Kennewick. All expressions of sympathy, including flowers, honorary donations to a favorite charity, and cards are welcome.
