Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Angela Potter, 58, a beloved wife and a very cherished mother and grandmother. She was Born July 26th, 1966, in Cozad, NE, to Cipriano Silva (deceased) and Juanita Galvan. She passed away on April 15th, 2025, in Kennewick, WA.

She was a devoted wife of 30 years to Jon Potter and a mother of seven children: Jamie (Bruno) Vasconcelos, Jenna (Mike) Babenko, Danielle (Ben) Elliott, Jarod Kostman, Jacob (Kayla) Potter, Jade Silva, and Delena Potter. She was also a bonus mom to David (Jordan) Bircher.

Angela was a woman known for her warmth, kindness, strength, and unwavering love of her family, especially her 17 grandchildren. She was often seen cheering them on at their many sporting events and loved creating memories with each one of them.

She is preceded in death by her father, Cipriano Silva, her grandmother, Angelina Silva, and nephews Diego Silva and Amelio Silva. She is survived not only by her husband, Jon, her children, and grandchildren, but also by her mother, Juanita Galvan, and stepfather, Tony Galvan Sr.; three brothers, Alberto Silva, Jaime Silva, and Tony Galvan; her two sisters, Rita Wolf and Amy Galvan, and countless nieces and nephews.

Those who knew Angela would tell you she had a knack for making anything she touched beautiful. She and her husband, Jon, spent countless hours gardening and working on home renovation projects at their lovely home in Pasco, WA. Angela had an eye for making something out of nothing; she loved sharing that skill and passion with her friends and family.

Angela was a very driven woman who loved her career. She achieved her computer programming degree shortly after her seventh child's birth. She went on to work her dream job as a project manager at Hanford, where she worked for 17 years. Angela cherished her time there and created lasting friendships with people we know will miss her dearly.

Angela loved traveling and going to concerts. She could often be found whistling and dancing to Vincente Fernandez, her dad's favorite singer, while she cooked so many delicious meals for her family and friends; not a single person went hungry if you were visiting her home. She had a contagious laugh, smile, and knack for saying the most random things when least expected. Her sense of humor will be greatly missed. Angela made you feel like you were the only one in the room when you needed someone to listen to or a shoulder to lean on.

Her spirit will live on in the memories we cherish and the love she shared with all of us. We will forever be grateful for the gift of her life.
