Andy was born on November 1, 1950, to Nita Rettinghouse and Edward Johnson. He grew up in Pasco, where he graduated from Pasco High School before continuing his education at Columbia Basin College.

Throughout his life, Andy embraced a variety of careers and experiences. He spent time helping with the circus, served his community as a dedicated mail carrier, and later worked as a real estate agent. No matter where life took him, he was known for his curiosity, hardworking nature, and the connections he made with those around him.

One of Andy's greatest passions was collecting agates and gemstones. He enjoyed searching for unique specimens and sharing his enthusiasm and knowledge with others who appreciated the beauty of the natural world.

Andy also had a love for poker and farkle, games that brought together family and friends for countless hours of laughter, friendly competition, and cherished memories. Whether he was rolling the dice or holding a winning hand, Andy loved the camaraderie and storytelling that accompanied every game.

Above all, Andy treasured his family. He is survived by his mother Nita, his four children Michael, Summer, Amber and Jason, and his beloved grandchildren Samantha, Lincoln, Seth, Mikey, Logan, Daicee, and Ashton who will carry forward the memories, lessons, and love he shared throughout his life.

Andy will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his appreciation for nature's hidden treasures, his love of card and dice games, and the joy he found in sharing those passions with the people he loved. Most of all, he will be remembered for the love he shared with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
