Obituary

Alice Russell entered her heavenly home on the morning of February 25, 2025.

She was the first born of Hugh Allen and B. Marian Russell, on August 16, 1942 in Spokane, WA.

She lived in the Spokane area until moving to Connell in 1992, where she continued to touch lives with her warmth and kindness.

While she struggled with disabilities from birth, Alice's life was a testament to resilience and joy.

She built her home with the support, love, and care of her family. She created a home filled with friends and the sweet aroma of freshly baked cookies, and those delicious banana cupcakes which she generously shared with others.

Her faith was a cornerstone of her life. She found immense joy in attending church, singing in the choir, and volunteering in the church kitchen.

Alice's love for music was evident as she memorized many songs and hymns. She would often sing along to the radio and/or her CD collection.

Her spirit shone brightly during Christmas and whenever she was surrounded by flowers.

She cherished the warmer months, often spending peaceful moments on her patio.

In her later years, she was active in the Connell Keenagers and enjoyed spending time with friends.

Alice took pride in her appearance, looking her very best, most days, with her hair perfectly styled and makeup impeccably applied. She always wore a smile. Beyond her stylish exterior, Alice was also a quiet, sweet, and kind soul leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.

She is preceded in death by her parents Hugh Allen and B. Marian Russell; brother David Russell; nephew Jeff Davis; and brother-in-law Barry Bingham.

She is survived by her sisters Claudia Bingham, Linda (George) Davis; brothers Leroy Russell, Keith (Lisa) Russell. Daughter Julie Perez. Nephews Hugh Bingham, James (Fargo) Bingham, Timothy Emory Russell, Andrew (Jen) Davis, Scott Davis. Nieces Katherine (Clayton) Trowbridge, Monica DeGraw, Deena Russell, Ariel Russell. Numerous great nephews and nieces. And many friends.

A memorial service will be held at the Connell Church of the Nazarene (500 E. Franklin Street) on Saturday, March 8 at 1pm.
