Albert Bertha Roberts was born September 9, 1940 in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Pasco, WA. Her parents were Alvin LeRoy Rex and Rosetta Bertha Nash Rex. Alberta graduated from Kennewick High in June, 1958. In August 1958, Alberta moved to Seattle and went to work for Frederick & Nelson. On August 17, 1959, she married Albert Glenn Thompson in Seattle, WA and after a lengthy separation, divorced her husband. In December, 1959, Alberta moved back to Kennewick. On January 11, 1963, Alberta married Darwin Ray Roberts. Alberta was an active member of the First Christian Church and a member of the Pasco F.O.E. Auxiliary #2241 and then later transferred her membership to the Kennewick F.O.E. Auxiliary #2485. Alberta loved creating things on the computer, sewing, needle crafts and just plain crafts. Alberta loved doing things for her family and with her family. Alberta is survived by her husband and her children Steven Thompson Sr. of El Paso, IL, Sheila David Kirk, Sheryl Bobby Kinsey and stepson, Rick Twila Roberts all of Kennewick; four grandchildren and numerous step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. Alberta is also survived by her sister, Roberta Renfro of Erie, PA. A graveside inurnment will be held Tuesday, February 22, 2011, 2:00 p.m., at Desert Lawn Memorial Park at the corner of 10th and Union Street in Kennewick.
