Alberta Rivera Niño, age 78, passed away at her home on Thursday, June 22, 2006 to be with the Lord, leaving her family and friends behind. She was born June 18, 1928 in Padilla, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Eufemio and Eustolia Rivera and had lived in the Tri-Cities since 1973. Alberta is survived by her children, Simon Niño and Terry Piña of Seattle, Sylvia and Thomas Hinojosa, Veronica Niño, Heron Niño, Juan Niño, Luis and Luisa Niño, Ruth Galindo, Laura Niño Carrillo and David Carrillo, Blanca Negrete and Angie Rodriguez; and numerous grandchildren and other relatives and friends. She will be joined in her death by her mother and father, her husband, sister, and two grandchildren. The rosary will be recited Sunday, June 25, 2006 at 6:00 p.m. at Mueller?s Greenlee Funeral Home, 1608 W. Court Street, Pasco. The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 26, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Community Christian Fellowship Church, 1207 N. 12th Ave., Pasco. Burial will follow at City View Cemetery, North Oregon Avenue, Pasco. Viewing will be Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mueller?s Greenlee Funeral Home.
