Obituary

Zelma Allec Stevenson, 79, passed away March 11, 2008, at Guardian Angel Homes, Richland Washington. Zelma was born October 4th, 1928 in Riverside, California, daughter of Emile Jean Allec and Vivian Emory. She grew up in Riverside, attended College there and married Robert Haynes Stevenson of San Diego, April 20th, 1952. Zelma lived the last 30 years in Pasco, Washington, where she worked at the Tri-City Herald for 21 years as Executive Assistant to 4 different Publishers. She retired from there in 1998. Zelma was a lifetime member of Soroptimist International. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, pool parties at their home and traveling with her husband on their many cruises. Zelma's husband of 45 years, Robert Stevenson, passed away in 1997, and her son, Craig Stevenson, passed away October, 2005. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Stevenson, Seattle; her sister and brother-in-law, Maureen and Ray Mitchell, Oroville, California; her brother and sister-in-law, Telford and Margaret Stevenson, San Diego, California; and many nieces and nephews.
