Obituary

Vivian Violet Nelson, 89 of Pasco passed away at her home on March 5, 2015 from her long battle with Dementia. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Born June 12, 1925 to Irving Scott and Violet Pansy Vilcone in San Diego, California, Vivian overcame great odds in her childhood and early teens to go on to marry her husband Thorvald A Nelson on Aug. 12, 1942 and bear 5 children while co-managing the family cattle ranch in Potrero, California with her husband for the next 23 years. She had a life long love of music and singing, was a solid Christian who faithfully maintained her vision of right and wrong and raised 4 children to adulthood with her strength and beliefs. She is preceded in death by her first born Thorvald Scott Nelson, who died of SIDS, her husband Thorvald and her parents and brothers. She is survived by her daughters, Sally Violet Rasmussen, Laura Patricia Nelson, Susan Elizabeth Nelson, son Thor C Nelson and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
