Obituary

Virgil Dean Kromminga was born January 4, 1934 in Des Moines, Iowa to William & Lucille Kromminga. He passed away peacefully at home on February 16th, 2022. In the 1940's the family moved to Grandview Washington. Before graduating high school, Virgil enlisted and then served 8 years in the United States Air force. After serving in the Air Force he returned to the Yakima valley and worked as a pipefitter on the dams in the Columbia basin and eventually went to work on the Hanford Project as a pipefitter. Virgil was lucky to find love twice in his life. He was married to Jessie Smith who passed away in 2005 & Mardelle Brutzman from 2008 until her passing in 2017. Virgil is survived by his daughter and her husband, Debbie & Gene Hall. He has 4 grandchildren, Nathan, Corrin, Jaime & Nicholas as well as 3 great-grandchildren. He also is survived by his newest family: Ken Brutzman (Valerie), Keith Brutzman (Karen) and Kathy Brutzman-Webber (Neil). Services will be Saturday March 5th at 2:00 pm at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home with interment following at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, Kennewick, WA.
