Vincent D. Rhodes, beloved husband and father, son and brother, died Saturday June 20 2008 at Kadlec Medical Center surrounded by his family and friends, of injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident. Vince was born June 22, 1956 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Juanita Yoquelet and Clayton Rhodes. He served in the US Army from 1974 - 1977. He came to Washington in 1984, to visit friends, when he met his wife Alese. They were married on March 3rd, 1990. Vince and Alese had two beautiful girls together, Nadia and Anna. His wife and children were Vince's life. He was the best husband and father anybody could ask for. He talked about his wife and children endlessly. He was a very kind person, very compassionate and just. He always helped when he saw anybody in need. Vince was a father figure to many of his children's friends. He opened his house to children in need without questions. He loved his horses, dogs and cats. He was an excellent horseman. Vince liked camping with his family and friends. He took his family on many trips in the United States and Europe. He loved his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and he and Alese took many fun trips together. He will be missed painfully by his family and friends. Those who truly knew him loved him. "Vince, you were my best friend. I love you with all my heart. I wish I would have had the chance to tell you one more time how much you meant to me. The children and I will go on strong, with emptiness in our hearts, and so many beautiful memories of you. I know we will be together again, until then, my love, I will cherish the memories I have." Vince is survived by his wife Alese, his children Nadia and Anna, his "adopted" children Holly and Booie, his mother Juanita Yoquelet, his brother Tom, sisters Teresa, Laura and Carla and their families, many aunts and uncles, and many good friends.
