Verlene was born in Alma, Nebraska and move to Richland in 1954. She was a loving mother, raising her 4 children. From 1987 to 1997 she worked at Kadlec Hospital in the Housekeeping department. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic church in Richland. She loved volunteering at the Sausage Fest for her church. As a hobby, she loved to draw, paint and write poetry. She is survived by her children: Marsha Lee (Brian), Carolyn Henry, Don Jepsen (Jennifer), Sandra Burgett (Gary) and step-son Randy Kozitka. She had 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Viewing will be April 7 at Muellers Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S Union St. Kennewick, WA, 5-8 pm with Rosary at 6 pm .
