    July 23, 1936 - February 13, 2022

Vera Shaff, 85, passed away on February 13th, 2022 at Magdalena's Adult Family Home. She was born in La Grande, Oregon, July 23, 1936, daughter of Maurice and Anna Lange. She attended La Grande High school and was married to Lowell Tibbetts on June 15th, 1956. She had two daughters, Rita and Rene', and moved to Pendleton, Oregon. Lowell passed away in December 1976. Vera worked at Pendleton State Hospital, Pendleton newspaper, as a teacher assistant in Pasco, Washington, and Battelle N.W in Tri-Cities. She remarried Robert Shaff in 1980, whom had a daughter, Robin Shaff, they lived in Kennewick, Washington. Robert passed away in 2007. Vera kept herself busy with her favorite hobbies of gardening, quilting and cross stitch. There wasn't a time you drove by the house where she wasn't working in the yard, garden or flower beds. She loved her home looking beautiful because she was so meticulous. It wasn't just her yard and hobbies, she cared about her family, that was everything to her and she would do anything to help if she could. She had an endearing son-in-law, Robert Heilig, whom she loved like her own son. He always kept a close eye on her to keep her safe and happy and neighbors, Jan and Don, always had a close eye on her as close friends too. They were always watching over mom helping her with whatever she needed, she loved them dearly. She is survived by her oldest daughter, Rita and Rene' and stepdaughter, Robin. She had five grandchildren; Anna and Cole Spencer, Nicole Puritte, Julia and Justin (deceased); great-grandchildren, Jacob, Braden, Kaitlyn, Hadley, Alina, Nash Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 17th for the family at 11:30AM and service will be held at 1:00PM at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S.
