Troy Wayne Collins
August 21, 1970 - May 10, 2021
Troy Collins, devoted father and husband, passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021, in Pasco, Washington. He was born in Houston, Texas, on August 21, 1970, to Glenn Collins and Aronda Dupree. He attended high school through the 10th grade and worked hard to earn his GED. One of his first jobs was driving truck, and he loved it. In 1998, Troy met the love of his life, Laurie Ann Empey, and they were married on January 21, 1999, in Houston, Texas. Later, they moved to Washington, where they were blessed with a daughter, Shiann, born August 28, 2001. He was employed at the TRAC in Pasco, where he enjoyed driving the Zamboni to groom the ice. Troy was the type of person who “never met a stranger.” He was very positive, outgoing, and friendly. He was also known for his Southern charm—always quick with a “Hi, how y’all doing?” or a “Thank you, ma’am.” He loved to tease and enjoyed a good laugh, and his nieces and nephews always felt his love. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. Troy is survived by his wife Laurie Ann, his daughter Shiann, and his brother Curtis Brown (Lynn Barton) and sister Carla Kalckey (David Kalckey). Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 19th at the Pasco North Stake Center located at 4618 Porto Lane, Pasco, WA.
