Our beloved brother Trent Thomas Stearns went home to be with Jesus April 24, 2016 surrounded by family and friends. He was born July 28, 1961 in Kennewick, Washington to Allan (Butch) and Sandra K. (Gier) Stearns. He attended Finley schools K-12. Trent was a fun loving bad boy. He played sports and did high school rodeo (bareback and a few bulls). He flirted with the girls to the last day (hugs and smooches). Trent was a great heavy equipment operator. He started his career with HHO, Inc. and ended with K. Kaser and a few in between. In 1989 Trent and Carrie Anderson had their son, Shadow Le' Allen, whom he loved very much. Trent loved to go fishing, bass, walleye, sturgeon and steelhead, many times mom's Mother's Day gift was to fix fish for the family they had just caught! Trent loved antiques especially digging up old bottles, every piece of junk Trent brought home was a treasure he found value in, his brother didn't but his sister did 60% of the time. He enjoyed barbecuing, camping, breakfast foods, and in the last couple years, gardening and crafting. He had a love for life. Trent had a lot of talks with God over the years Jesus won! Special thanks to Leysa Sweaney, one of the loves of his life, and Carrie Anderson for taking Trent to the hospital so many times and calling to let us know what was happening, his cousin Carol Jane and a few others. Bless you all! Trent was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents May and Denny Chavez. He is survived by his son Shadow, brother Brett Stearns, sister Michelle (Todd) Linton, grandparents Bob and Gloria Gier, grandsons Tatum and Triston (Kiya), nieces Brenna, Brittany, Lexcie, Kass; nephew Sandran; great nieces Sandrea, Katie and Juliana. A celebration of Trent's life will be held Saturday, April 30th, 2016, 1:00 p.m., at the old Finley Elementary Gym, 222204 E. Game Farm Rd and Finley Rd.
