Obituary

Terrence "Terry" Irvin Telligman, 83, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, December 3, 2016 in Richland, WA, following a strong-willed battle with ALS. Survived by his wife and soul mate, Shirley Telligman (Mitchell); his sons Terry Jr., Tra, and Thomas; his daughter Toni Lee Telligman; his sister Sandra Clifford; and his brother William Telligman; his stepchildren, Howard and Mark Henson, Haley Heaps, and all seven of his grandchildren. Born and raised in Freelandville, IN, he is the son of Irvin and Florence Telligman. In his early years, Terry worked in his father's blacksmith shop and on the farm. After graduating from Freelandville, IN in May of 1951, he attended Rice University as a basketball player on their 1955 championship team and graduated the same year. After serving with the Marines, Terry worked in pharmaceutical sales management for 35 years. He met his wife, Shirley, at Lake Oswego in Oregon and they were married in 1985. He enjoyed golf, tennis, skiing and a good book. After retiring, they moved to Texas and bought a cattle ranch before settling down in the Tri-Cities area. Terry was a man of great integrity, was passionate about his family, and passed down a strong work ethic to his children. Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 10th, 2016, 1:30 p.m., at Kennewick First Presbyterian Church, 2001 W. Kennewick Avenue.
