Susan Larayne Stroud
March 23, 1947 - February 8, 2022
It’s with great sadness that the family of Susan Goulet Stroud announce her entry into eternal rest on February 8, 2022. She was born in Spokane, WA March 23, 1947, to Mike and Mary Goulet. The family returned to Pasco in 1948 where she has resided most of her life. As a child, Sue attended St. Patrick Catholic School and graduated from Pasco High School in 1965. She married Neil Kenworthy that year and they welcomed their son Michael while living in West Seattle in 1966. After returning to Pasco, their second child, Heather, was born in 1970. While the couple later divorced, they remained life-long friends. In 1990, Sue met and later married Ron Stroud. With their blended families, the two built a new life together, enjoying traveling, camping, gardening, and family gatherings. Sue earned an LPN nursing degree from CBC in 1971 and spent many years in service to others. She also worked for many years as a DSHS case worker. Following retirement, Sue enjoyed working events at the Toyota center and Three Rivers Convention Center. She enjoyed her role as wife, grandma, auntie, sister, friend and mother to her fur babies. Sue is survived by her husband, Ron Stroud, children Heather Breymeyer of Pasco, Michael Kenworthy of Arlington, Jennifer Pryor of West Richland, and Ashley Hunter of Pasco. Also surviving are her grandchildren Lauren Breymeyer, Wyatt Breymeyer, Rachel Myers Jordyn Hunter, and Carly Muse, her former husband Neil Kenworthy in Freeland, WA, her sister Marion Mann of Wenatchee, WA, her brother John (Linda) of Green Valley, AZ, and numerous nieces and nephews. We will miss her sweet presence in our lives. A celebration of her life will be announced later. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to POP (Pet Over Population Prevention).
