Obituary

Susan C. Larson was welcomed into the arms of her parents, siblings, grandparents, children, relatives, friends, and our Savior Jesus Christ. She had survived an 8-year battle with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and finally found peace at home on March 25. Sue was born in Logan, Utah, on March 24. She attended River Heights Elementary, South Cache Jr. High, and Sky View High and graduated from Utah State University. During her childhood she enjoyed camping, boating, and sleeping on the beach at Bear Lake with her parents, Sid and Betty Christiansen, and her five older brothers and sister. The family enjoyed outdoor activities and traveling. She married the love of her life, Brent Larson, in 1976 while Brent attended Utah State University. When he graduated, Susan and Brent moved to Washington and started their family of 2 sons, Ben and Brady, and daughter, Julie. Susan has 6 grandchildren Molly, Katie, Reed, Lindsay, Paige, and Henry with the 7th expected in July. Susan raised her family in Kennewick doing the things that mothers do to help her children. She volunteered in their schools, coached their teams, and supported them in every aspect of their lives. Her children and grandchildren know that they are loved. Sue was always very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and loved serving and helping everywhere she could. She was the first one at the door with an offer to help. She held many leadership positions including president of the Primary, Young Women, and Relief Society. Susan held her positions for both the ward and the stake level. Throughout her illness, Susan never complained. Everyone who knew her was blessed and will miss Sue. She leaves behind her husband Brent (Kennewick, WA), son Ben and Alissa (Pasco, WA), son Brady and Marsha (Sandy, UT), daughter Julie and Alex (Provo, UT), brother Pat and Judy (Logan, UT), brother Larry (Salt Lake City, UT), and sister Marian (Logan, UT). Viewing will be Tuesday, March 29, 2016, 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union St., Kennewick. The funeral will be at the LDS Stake Center, 515 S. Union St., Kennewick on Wednesday, March 30 at 11:00 a.m. There will be a short viewing before the services beginning at 10:00.
