Stanley Lynn Smith

April 5, 1946 - January 27, 2022

Stanley Lynn Smith of Prosser, Washington passed away January 27, 2022 at Brookdale Torbett in Richland, Washington at the age of 75. Stan was born April 5, 1946 in Ontario, Oregon to Kenneth and Alice Smith. He was raised on his family's farm between Nyssa and Adrian Oregon. He graduated from Adrian High School in 1964 and served a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Eastern Canada from 1965-67. He joined the Army National Guard with basic training in Fort Dix, New Jersey in 1968. He served in the Homedale, Idaho National Guard unit for six years with an honorable discharge in 1974. Stan was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in various callings throughout his life. Stan is survived by his wife Christina Smith, sons Jeff (Nancy) Smith of Washington, Eric Smith of Washington, Brad Smith of Arizona, and Stuart (Lori) Smith of Washington, six grandchildren, one brother Larry Smith of Washington and one sister Larue (John) Longhurst of Idaho. Stan and Tina were married in the Idaho Falls, Idaho Latter Day Saint Temple on August 16, 1972 and resided in Nyssa, Oregon until February of 1977 when they moved to the Horse Heaven Hills of Prosser, Washington. He worked for Clyde Bybee Farms for 14 years (9 years in Oregon) and Brent Hartley Farms for 34 years. He retired in 2015 due to Alzheimers. There will be a viewing at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home at 1401 S Union St in Kennewick, WA on Friday February 4th from 5-7 pm with a graveside service on Saturday February 5th at 10:00 am at the Prosser Cemetery.
