SebastianRamiro Castilleja Tello, age 80, of Pasco passed away peacefully Thursday January 6, 2011 of natural causes. He was born in Dr. Arroyo Nuevo Leon, Mexico on January 20, 1930 to Jose Castilleja and Sebastiana Tello. His parents moved to Reynosa, Tamaulipas MX where he learned the self employment of the business of a owner of a barber and jeweler shop, once the business was established he turned it over to his brother. In 1948 he migrated to Edingburg, Texas to work as a baker for Jasso's Bakery and was also migrated to Washington and California following the crop season. In 1960 he married the love of his life Concepcion Hernandez and raised four 4 lovely children. In 1966 he settled in Walla Walla, WA and worked as a farm worker for local farmers and as a Janitor for Washington State Migrant Council. He was definitely a hard working successful individual who always held 2 jobs. In 1970 he moved to Pasco where he and his wife began their business "Castilleja's Bakery", the first and very successful Mexican bakery in the Tri-Cities. He loved his children and wife and was a great provider. He enjoyed music, dancing and had a great sense of humor that would keep the party alive. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. He was well known by many, and supported numerous family events in the community. He is survived by his sister Maria Castilleja Briones from Walla Walla, WA and two 2 sons Guadalupe LupeCastilleja and Ramiro Ram Castilleja of Pasco WA, and two 2 daughters Sonia Medina from Alamo, Texas and Connie Castilleja from Pasco WA. Also 7 granddaughters Carla, Crystal, Connie, and Sylvia Medina, Sule and Stefani Castilleja, Yvette Sandoval, 2 great grandsons John Daniel Fuentes, Loden Thomas Hatcher. He was preceded in death by parents Sebastiana Tello and Jose Castilleja, wife Concepcion Catilleja Hernandez WA, brother Gumercindo Castilleja, Sister Guadalupe Moreno TX. Niece Elida Briones, nephew Roberto Briones, WA. Viewing and visitation will be held Wednesday, January 12, 2011 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. at Mueller's Greenlee Funeral Home, 1608 W Court St, Pasco, WA. Christian services will be held on Thursday, January 13th, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at St Patrick's Catholic Church in Pasco, WA. Burial immediately following at City View Cemetery in Pasco. Donations are welcome and can be submitted to Mueller's Greenlee Funeral Home.
