Obituary

Norma Rosalee Webster went home to be with the Lord on April 8, 2011 in Kennewick, Washington. Rose was born on May 20, 1931 in Holbrook, Nebraska and moved to Southeast Washington in 1936. At the time of her first marriage, at age 15, she lived in Merrill, Oregon. She remarried to Bob Curtis in 1956, living and raising her family in Portland and Pendleton until he passed away in 1979. Rose was known for her deep commitment to Jesus, her love for her family, and her involvement at church. She lived the phrase, ?a stranger is a friend you?ve never met yet.? An eternal optimist, she always focused on the best in every person and situation. She was quick to meet needs and show care to anyone she met in need. And she loved to be creative. She took 13 sewing classes, was active involved in the Tri-Cities Quilt Guild, and regularly quilted, sewed and crocheted with friends. She was an avid baker and painter, as well. A highlight of her life was a trip to Israel in 2009 with Willard. It had been her life-long dream. Rose was survived by her husband, Willard of 30 years, son Dan Clemons Victoria, daughter Michelle Curtis, stepson Kim Curtis, grandchildren Whitney, Corina, and Lindsay, and two great-grandchildren. She?s also survived by two sisters, Terri and Bonnie. A viewing will be held at Mueller?s Tri-Cities Funeral Home in Kennewick on Tuesday, April 12 from 3-8 p.m. A memorial service will follow on Wednesday, April 13 at 1 p.m. at Harvest Heights Assembly of God with a viewing beginning one hour prior to the service. The graveside service will be held at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland on Thursday, April 14th. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to Restoring Hope International Girls Home in Arequipa, Peru: P.O. Box 2128, Leavenworth, WA 98826.
