Rose M Thiel, 91, of Kennewick Washington passed away peacefully on February 21, 2017 at Richland WA Rehabilitation Facility. She was born in Linton North Dakota July 16, 1925, to John and Christina Kiefel, the 5th of 10 children. She enjoyed making ceramics, golfing and salmon fishing. Most important she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was married to Fred Thiel of Boston, MA on January 25, 1947, and raised 5 children. She was employed by The US Postal Service for 20+ years, mostly as Postmaster in Wishram, WA. Survivors include daughter Peg (Allen) Woods of Weiser, ID, Jim (Marcia) Thiel of Pasco, WA, Doug Thiel of Pasco, WA, Chuck (Darla) Thiel of Spokane WA, and Joan (Dave) Chudek of Vancouver, WA. Numerous grandchildren and a passel of great and great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday Feb. 27, 2017 at 10:00 am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 7409 W Clearwater Ave, Kennewick WA. Graveside services will follow at Mueller's Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Kennewick.
