Ronald H. Swanby, age 64, passed away at his home December 24, 2007. He was born January 13, 1943 in Seattle to Marion Swanby and Margaret J. White. He graduated from Selah High School in 1961 and enlisted in the US Army. He was trained in finance and payroll and spent most of his enlistment at Fort Hood, Texas. Upon his discharge, he went to work for Guy F. Atkinson Construction and was employed at dam projects in Washington, California, Missouri and Chile. Some of his fondest memories were the time he spent in Chile with the Chilean people. Ron married Beverly McCune on December 19, 1987 and they resided in Kennewick. They combined their two families, he with his three boys and Bev with her three girls. They spent many years enjoying camping and boating with friends and family. Ron and Bev enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with each other. They enjoyed many happy years together, Ron was the love of her life and he will be missed immensely. Ron was a partner with his mother, Margaret, in White?s Insurance Agency for 14 years and represented Pemco and other companies; he retired in 2005. Ron is survived by his mother, Margaret J. White, his wife, Beverly Swanby, his brother, Dr. Richard Swanby Eileen of Long Island, NY, and his sister Dee Phillips Fred of Kennewick, WA. He is survived by Carol Ann Bergevin mother of his 3 sons and his 3 boys, Richard H. Swanby Janis, Prince Albert, SK.; Randall J.Swanby and Ron J. Swanby Christina of Kennewick. He is also survived by his 3 stepdaughters, Kim Fangman Tim of Pasco, Kelly King, West Richland and Lynne Shaw Brian of Las Vegas, NV and 8 special grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Ronald was preceded in death by his father, Marion and his stepfather, Bill A. White. A Memorial Service to celebrate Ron?s life will be held on Friday, December 28 at 11:00 a.m. at Mueller?s Tri Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union, Kennewick. Friends may choose a donation in Ronald H.
