Ronald Earl McQuilkin
February 2, 1955 - August 22, 2021
Ron was born on February 2, 1955 in Moses Lake, Washington to Glenn and Caroline McQuilkin. There, he was raised until the age of 17. Shortly after, Ron enlisted into Army Rangers and was stationed in Germany during Vietnam. After being discharged with honors, Ron took to mechanics and even got a degree in transmissions. Ron was a great mechanic and landed a diesel mechanic job with John Deere. He was a very hard worker and loved what he did. Even more special to him was his family, fast cars and Harley Davidsons. He was a very loving father to five children. Ron was the type of person you wanted to know. He was caring, loyal and giving. Those who knew him couldn't help but love him. Sadly, Ron was diagnosed with cancer in March. Although he fought with great determination and a positive spirit, his body could no longer fight. He leaves behind many people who love him dearly. The world lost a very special person who can never be replaced. Ron is survived by his mother, Caroline McQuilkin; three daughters, Ronda Perez and son-in-law Julian Perez, Jessi West, Erica Aldaco; two sons, Ron Kennedy and daughter-in-law Monica Kennedy, John Kennedy; five grandchildren, Forrest Kennedy, Anthony Rodriguez, Joseph Perez, Annalia Perez, Judah Pererz; one brother, Michael McQuilkin (Kathy McQuilkin); three sisters, Shirley Purcell (Blair Purcell), Barbara Klug, Billie Jo McQuilkin (Robert Rotter) and several nieces and nephews. We can't wait to see him again but until then, he will be resting in peace. Services will be on September 2, 2021 at Desert Lawn Memorial Park 1401 S. Union St. Kennewick, WA 99338 at 1:00 PM followed by a luncheon gathering at Ron's mom's house.
