Ronald (Ron) Brandner, 78 passed away at his home on December 8, 2015. He was born to Herbert and Julia Brandner on January 20, 1937 in LaSalle, Illinois. In 1955 he started his career with the railroad and then in 1957, enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Germany. While in the service he met his wife, Ursula. They married in July of 1959 and later moved to Washington, settling in Kennewick. In 1959 he rejoined Burlington Northern Railroad until his retirement in 1994. Ron's greatest joy was being together with his family and grandchildren. He will be remembered as a very loving and caring person with a fun sense of humor who enjoyed fishing, camping, reading, and never missed a Mariners game. Ron is survived by his four children, Glenda (Rich) Holloway, Glenn (Cathy) Brandner, Gale Brandner, and Greg (Carol) Brandner; grandchildren Jason (Melinda) Holloway, Nicholas (Joy) Holloway, Cody Brandner, Katie Brandner, Maddie Brandner, MaKenna Brandner, and great grandson Cam Holloway; two sisters Phyllis Ingram and Barbara Houghton, and his special friend Dorothy Langston. A funeral service and reception will be held at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union St., Kennewick, WA on Saturday, December 12th at 1 pm.
