Our son, brother, and friend, Robert, Jr., began celebrating his eternal life on St. Patrick's Day of 2008. A gentle and kind spirit, he was a friend to all. Robert enjoyed art, rock collecting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He attended Lakes High School in Tacoma, Washington and was quite the track star. He served honorably in Germany and Vietnam with the United States Army. He truly loved music and would likely send this message to all who are missing him, "DON'T WORRY, BE HAPPY." Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Betty and mother, Dorothy Swihart. Robert is survived by his parents, Robert and Ruth Adams and stepfather, William Swihart; brothers, Cliff Adams and Doug Adams; his sister, Marcia Adams; his dear friend, Hazel Hollenbaugh; numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service is planned for Saturday at 1 p.m. at Finley First Baptist Church in Kennewick, Washington.
