Raymond Paul Passmore, 87, passed from this world on May 27th, 2014 into God's loving hands. Ray was born on May 1st, 1927 to Oral & Mary (Donovan) Passmore on a farm in Prescott, WA. Enlisting in the Navy on December 17th, 1942 at the age of 15, he served his country honorably during World War II. Marrying Della Rose Klein on November 6th, 1954 he settled in Walla Walla, WA. There he was an active member of the Rotarians, Elks Lodge, Knights of Columbus, and Assumption Parish while raising his family. Ray was a successful businessman in the automobile industry, with many years at Jackson Motor Company and Ray's Auto Mart. He later became a real estate broker, general contractor and developer, known as RayDell Enterprises, with several residential and commercial properties to his credit across the state of Washington. Upon retiring to Bellevue, WA he continued his service to his country through the Knights of Columbus at Saint Madeline Sophie Parish, organizing "Operation Knight Flight" to ship supplies to our troops in the Middle East. He was honored by the Army National Guard for his efforts. In the last 5 years of his life, he relocated to Kennewick, WA with Della to fulfill her wish to return to her "home". Ray is survived by his sisters, Marybelle (James) Savage and Betty Jean (Rodney) Davis, four children Valerie Passmore, Patti (Rick) Wiseman, Michael Passmore & Teri Rowe, and Joni Wyckoff, eight grandchildren, Michelle Dailey, Dominic Jones, Lauren Wiseman, Alyssa Wiseman, Emily Wiseman, Trevor Wyckoff, Chase Wyckoff, and Jordan Passmore, six great grandchildren, Chason Dailey-Eckhardt, Makenzie Eckhardt, Chane Echkardt, Melanie Wiseman, Cassanna Jones, and Liam Ray Jones. Ray is preceded in death by his sister, Katherine Miller, his brothers Norman Passmore and Robert Passmore and a grandson, Taylor Passmore. Viewing will be held at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home in Kennewick on Friday, May 30th, from 5:00pm - 8:00pm, with Recitation of the Rosary at 6:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Parish of the Holy Spirit in Kennewick on Saturday, May 31st at 2:00pm with internment immediately following at Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Kennewick. A Reception will be hosted at Country Gentleman Restaurant in Kennewick following the Internment on Saturday, May 31st at 4:00pm. All are welcome to join family and friends at that time. In lieu of flowers, Ray would greatly appreciate a contribution to Operation Knight Flight.
