Obituary

Ralph was born to Will and Edre Finley on December 24, 1920, on a farm in Toppenish, WA. He died peacefully at his home in Kennewick on November 20, 2012. Ralph went to work on the family farm in Benton City at an early age. He joined the Army in 1942 and was assigned to the Signal Corp. He served in World War II and was in Puerto Rico, Brazil, Africa, and a few other countries. Shortly after returning from the war, Ralph met Catherine Borden and the two were wed in August of 1950. Ralph & Catherine moved to Kennewick the same year and began their family. They were blessed with Mary Alice, William, Cecilia, Dennis, Catherine, Daniel and Michael. Ralph enjoyed his 38 year career as a Hanford warehouseman. He loved the outdoors and recreational hunting & fishing with his family. His other enjoyments included rock hounding, photography, travel, reading, and his faith in our Lord. Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Catherine; his sisters, Jean Rhodes and Faye Jenkins,;and his children William, Cecilia, Dennis, Colleen, Daniel, and Michael, along with their families and his nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his daughter Mary Alice, his parents and siblings. There will be a Rosary for Ralph at 5 pm, followed by a funeral mass at 6 pm at St. Joseph's Church in Kennewick on Thursday, December 6, 2012. A reception will follow in the basement of St. Joseph's Chapel.
