Peggy Jo Garrett, 89, of Kennewick, Washington, passed away on February 7, 2016, in Kennewick. Peggy was born in Calgary, Alberta, to Elden and Lottie Osborne on December 23, 1926. Her family returned to the United States when she was an infant, settling in Oroville, Washington. Peggy was literally swept off her feet when she met her future husband, Robert (Bob) Garrett at a roller skating party in Oroville. They were married on August 21, 1943, and lived in Loomis, Washington, where Bob was an auto mechanic and used car dealer, and Peggy was a homemaker. Peggy and Bob were active members of the Loomis community, and founding members of the Loomis Community Church. Peggy is preceded in death by her husband, mother, father, sister, and brother. Peggy is survived by her daughter Teri Newton (Virgil), son Mike Garrett (Timmi), son Scott Garrett (Lori), daughter Patti Hallstrom (Steve), and daughter Penni Cornwell, as well as 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Interment will be held at a later date at Mountain View Cemetery in Loomis, WA.
