Patricia Jean Black

Patricia Jean Black passed away on February 2, 2022 at Trios Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Pat was born on April 19, 1930 in Kerry Oregon to Frank and Pearl Keys. When she was in the second grade her family moved to Wauna Oregon. Her grade school years were spent in a one room schoolhouse. She graduated from Westport High School on April 18, 1948. On June 5, 1948 Pat married the love of her life, Cecil Black. They moved to Kennewick WA in 1952. They had four children, Gary, Linda, Don, and Tom. They were married until his passing December 17, 2015. Pat briefly worked for the Corps of Engineers. Later she was hired by the Pasco School District as a special education bus attendant, where she worked until her retirement. Pat's passions were faith, family and music. She was a Sunday school teacher and organist at the 1st Assembly of God Church in Kennewick for half a century. Most recently she was a member of The Living Room Church in Kennewick. Pat was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Pearl Keys, Loving Husband Cecil Black, her daughter Linda Smith, son Donald Black, siblings Dorothy Ridgeway, Annabelle Rose, Robert Keys, and William Keys. Pat leaves behind sons Gary (Barb) Black and Tom (Karla) Black. Her brother James (Lorraine) Keys. 8 Grandchildren, numerous Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Pat's memorial service will be held at The Living Room Community Church, 1409 S. Garfield St Kennewick Washington on Saturday May 7, 2022, at 1:00 PM. There will be small graveside service at Desert Lawn Memorial Park 1401 S Union St Kennewick, Washington on Saturday May 7, 2022, at 11:00 AM.
