Mrs. Murray passed away quietly at home in Kennewick in the comforting presence of her daughter, Beverly Ann, her daughter, Jo and her granddaughter, Kari Sue on June 9, 2007. She was 89. Mrs. Murray was born to Benjamin and Clara Williams on March 1, 1918, in Baker City, Oregon at the home of her maternal grandmother. She attended schools in Hermiston, Stanfield and Pendleton. She was married to Andy Andersen and had two daughters, Ila Lee and Beverly Ann. They later divorced. She married Alfred Swales in 1945. They had one daughter, Verna Jo. Mr. Swales passed away in 1965. She married James C. Murray in 1966 and they lived in Power City until his demise in April of 2005. Mrs. Murray loved to garden, play golf, gamble, crochet, sew and spend time with her family. She is survived by her three daughters, Ila Reed of Weston, OR, Beverly Ann and Jo Kirby of Kennewick, WA plus numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Murray will be cremated at Mueller?s Funeral Home. A private memorial will be held when family and friends can all get together later.
