Nancy Conrad Cleavenger peacefully passed away at home on the morning of Tuesday, August 28th, 2012 of complications from lung cancer. She was born on September 23, 1944 to parents William and Theda Conrad in Wallace, Idaho. Nancy grew up in Island View, attended Kennewick schools and graduated from Kennewick High School in 1963. She married Doug Cleavenger on March 12, 1965 and they had a daughter, Margie, and son, Frank. Some of Nancy's passions were bowling, crocheting thousands of afghans over the years; all of which she donated for various fundraising and/or made for family members. She primarily did secretarial work for several organizations such as Battelle and the Women's Bowling Association. She loved puttering on the computer, Facebook and watching musicals and old movies. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Theda Conrad, brothers Roger and Larry, sisters Susan Green and Linda Boyd, and nephew Roger Green. Survived by husband Doug, daughter Margie Randy Cook, grandson Max Buchanan, son Frank Chris Jenkins, brother John Hogate and cousin Flora Hanson. Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, September 1st, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union Street, Kennewick, with a reception following downstairs.
