Monty Ernest Nickle was born February 5th, 1945 in Murray, Utah to Luzernia Jackson and Clayton Nickle. He was the youngest of five children, Mignon Johnson (deceased), Fontella Pedersen (deceased), Jack Nickle (deceased), and Jerry Nickle (Judy), Gilbert, AZ. He graduated in 1963 from Hillcrest High School. He served an LDS mission in the Alaska Canadian mission from 1964 to 1966. In 1967, he married Karen Skeem, and had three children from that union. Stephen (Elizabeth), Haslet TX, Phillip (deceased), and Jessica Christen (Konrad), Nampa, ID. This also includes ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In 2009, he married Mary Albaugh Jenks and inherited 7 children; Jared (Kendra), Sugar City, ID, Justin (Heather), Royal City, WA, Kara Dawn Crane (Phil), Rexburg, ID, Karena Wagstaff (Brent), Nyssa, OR, Trenton (Maren), Fruitland, ID, Garrett (Jilayne), Connell, WA, Kimberly Black (Dan) Bountiful, UT. This also includes twenty-nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He served two missions with Mary. One at the Glendale, AZ Institute for 2 years and at Coyote Ridge Correction Center for 8 years. He died June 21st at the Golden Age Group Home in Moses Lake, WA of Huntington Chorea Dementia. He was a member of the Connell Ward in Connell, WA. A visitation will be held Thursday, July 8th from 5PM to 7PM at Mueller's Greenlee Funeral Home on Court Street in Pasco. A service will be held Friday, July 9th at 11AM at Connell's LDS Ward in Connell, WA. He will be buried in Fremont, Utah - his happy place.
