Matthew Franklin Rowlette was raised into the loving arms of Jesus on April 25, 2021. Matthew was born to Michael Rowlette and Lorinda Uttecht. He was the second born child of seven children. Matthew was raised in Kahlotus, Washington and graduated from Connell High School in 1997. He attended Columbia Basin Community College and worked as an employee and supervisor for twenty-two years at Costco. Matthew is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary and Ules Rowlette, grandfather Wayne Ough, stepfather Brian Prudhomme, uncle Grant and aunt Gloria Rowlette, uncle Sam Rowlette and his beloved siblings; brother Christopher Rowlette and sister Lorinda Prudhomme. Those waiting to join Matthew are his sons, Matthew and Jacob, brothers Mitchel Rowlette, Chester and Brian Prudhomme and stepsister Jamie Wilson, mother Lorinda Uttecht, step-father Jeffrey Uttecht, grandparents Frank and Janet Gearhart, nephew "baby" Chester (Shelton - a nickname from Matthew) Prudhomme, niece Kylie Rowlette; along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Among the several interests common to Matthew; he loved to pull pranks and jokes on his family and friends. He loved to laugh! He enjoyed Seattle Seahawks football and was a big fan of Steve Largent. Matthew also followed the Chicago Bulls basketball team during the Michael Jordan years. The Seattle Mariners with Ken Griffey Jr. were fond baseball years. Matthew played football for the Connell Eagles football team and was the Kahlotus basketball student manager. He loved his dog Rusty very much! Matthew loved spending time with his two sons "baby Matt" and "baby Jakers" watching and role-playing Star Wars movies and eventually naming their family dog Obi-Wan-Kenobi. The love for his sons was his whole world. Matthew's former wife Sarah remembers that Matthew always loved to hug and kiss his boys on the forehead! Sarah remembers that Matthew took the two boys to Silverwood every year. Jacob loved the beach with his dad. Jacob went to swimming lessons and they swam together. Jacob remembers that his father would tickle and kiss him to make him laugh. Matthew made a familiar dog voice and said funny things to make him laugh. Jacob remembers his father supported his family as a dedicated worker who worked his job for 22 years. He always supported his children. Jacob says that his father was always someone to lean on and he would always listen to him. Jacob will miss his being in his fathers' presence. He was supportive like a friend always trying to build Jacob's confidence and make him feel better. Little Matthew wanted to thank his father for some of the fun and crazy adventures they had. Matthews brother Chester says that he was always a role model who educated him about sports. He was ethical and fun to be around. Mother Lori "Masu" writes: "I will forever be longing to hear you say mom. I know you never meant to go and that Jesus took you home. I am comforted knowing you are with him and heartbroken you are not here with me. I will never be the same without you my son and I will long for you until I can hold you in my arms again.
