August 6, 1962 - July 19, 2021
Marlin was born on August 6th, 1962 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Pasco, Washington. He is one of six children born to Virgil and Dorthy Stutzman. Marlin is survived by his wife of 14 years, Brenda Stutzman. He is also survived by his brothers Kay & Darold Stutzman and his sisters Dewanda Stutzman Miller and Darlene Stutzman Stuart. Marlin never really shared his emotions or liked to talk about his past. In school he was known as one of “nerdy” kids. He was in the chess club. The few times he talked about his childhood he did mention that his favorite home was the one on Park Place in Pasco, Washington. He loved that house enough that every time he played Monopoly he would always wait to buy property until he could buy Park Place. After high school he played darts at tournament level and he had won several championships. During this time he traveled to Texas and Las Vegas. For a few years he had his own business, the Dairy Queen on Clearwater Avenue, Kennewick, Washington. After closing the Dairy Queen he started working for Pizza Hut. That was 18 years and 9 months ago. Marlin was a hard worker and always wanted to do his best. One of his proudest moments was the year he brought the Road 68 Pizza Hut to be the number one store in the Valley and number two store in the entire company. He won a trip to Las Vegas and kept it a secret until he could surprise his wife at the corporate party. In 2006 Marlin joined an online dating service and connected with his wife Brenda. After a month of talking online, he asked her to take pity on him and go on a date. The next year they were married. Marlin lived a very simple but happy life. He loved his job and always put his wife’s happiness first. He was a good husband, friend and mentor to his co-workers. He will be greatly missed. Rest in peace Marlin.
