Marjorie Lillian Evans died December 25, 2010 at her Richland home. She was 92. Marj was born on September 16, 1918 to Bazle Morgan Young and Hallie Mae Marlin Young in Webster County, Missouri. She married Charles Edward Evans on January 13, 1938 in Missouri. Their son, John Edward, was born on August 10, 1940 near Marshfield, Missouri. In 1944 the family moved to Richland, Washington where Charles got work as a Hanford bus driver. On June 30, 1946 son, Charles David "Stretch", was born. Marj was a homemaker and enjoyed feeding anyone who came to visit, especially her grandchildren. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Marj was an active member of the Richland Heights Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years on December 18, 1990, her son David, and her sister Reta Zent. Her survivors include son, John and wife Aneda; daughter-in-law Julie Evans; grandchildren Donna Thelen and husband Mike, Mark Evans and wife Karen, Melissa Williamson and husband Jeff, and Warren Evans. Marj had eight great-grandchildren, a brother Gene Young and wife Maureen; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at 2:00 p.m., at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home located at 1401 South Union Street in Kennewick with viewing on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Memorials can be given in her name at Richland Heights Baptist Church, 390 Thayer Drive, Richland, Washington 99352.
