Obituary

Marilyn "Joyce" Seoane (Linke) passed away on Friday, March 10th, 2023, at 9:15am surrounded by her loved ones, both near and far.

Joyce was born in 1933 in Tacoma, Washington to May Cyrene Linke (Kendall), and Alvin Linke. She was a surprise baby to her parents who were in their later years but was a joyful surprise of love to the couple. Joyce was passionate about reading from a very young age and enjoyed devouring historical novels, especially romance. Before her retirement, she spent many years feeding the kids in the Pasco school district as a cafeteria cook and baker. After her retirement, she continued to nourish and feed her family both physically and their souls through her cooking and baking.

Joyce was a fiercely dedicated mother and grandmother, raising four equally loyal children in post-war Germany, and all over the United States during her years as an Army wife. She never complained and used her resourcefulness to provide the best she could for her family. Even after raising her four children, she always stepped up to help raise her granddaughters as needed throughout their lives, providing the love and stability that helped them become loving and caring mothers to their children. Joyce was our biggest cheerleader and our constant supporter. Our family would not be where it is today if we did not have Joyce as a mother and grandmother.

Joyce was predeceased by her parents May and Alvin Linke; husband Raymond Seoane; and children Robert and Suzanne Seaone. She leaves behind her son Raymond Seoane, son Joseph Seoane, granddaughter Valerie Spielman (Chris), granddaughter April Stark (Fano), great-Granddaughter Lily Spielman, great-Granddaughter Natalia Endor, and great-grandson Kane Spielman.
