Obituary

Today, December 9th, 2010, the Angels came for our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother and took her to see her loving husband and most loved youngest son, who went before her on November 5, 2010, to wait to take her hand and show her the way. We who are left behind will always be grateful that we had them in our lives for as long and as short as it was. She was born in Havre, Montana on October 24, 1918 to doting parents, Mike and Lucy Reisenauer, shortly after she was blessed with her only brother, Hubert. They moved to Genesee, Idaho where she grew up and graduated from high school. She met her husband, Victor Semler, there and they were wed October 27, 1937. Their union created eight children who dearly loved their parents. Mom's favorite thing was gardening. She always had a large garden from which she fed the whole family. We all learned to make sauerkraut at her knee and even the grandchildren are making it to this day. We will all miss the special instructions that she gave us. Family gatherings with all her children and grandchildren in attendance were one of her favorite things. She loved traveling, as she went to Ireland a couple of times and fell in love with it. She also loved flowers of every kind, especially red roses. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Victor, and her most beloved youngest son, Bryan. Survivors are her children Nancy Dodd Perry, Rebecca Ferguson Larry, Kathleen Repp Loren, Richard Semler Sandy, Annette Seigfreid Robert, Mary Rathjen Steve, and Stephen Semler Kathy; and her brother Hubert Reisenauer of Davis, California. She also leaves many grandchildren, great-granchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. We want to say a special thank you to Father O'Shea, Ron Mertens and all of mom's friends from Holy Spirit Catholic Church who were so kind and nice to her. She loved you all. Viewing will be Tuesday, December 14, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union Street, Kennewick. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, December 15, at 10:00 a.m., at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 7409 West Clearwater Avenue in Kennewick. The ladies of the church will serve lunch after the burial.
