Margaret C. Maier passed away on February 6, 2007, in Pasco, Washington. She was born May 10, 1923 in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. It was there that she met her husband of 60 years, Carl Maier. They came to the Tri-Cities in 1950 first moving to Burbank and then settling in North Pasco. While Carl farmed the lands, she worked at the Pasco School District as a cook at Edwin Markum School. She was very active in the farming community. She was a member of St. Patrick?s church in Pasco and part of the altar society. She was also a volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul?s. Margaret loved to play ?sheepshead?, a card game, crotchet and quilt all the kid?s blankets and other treasures. She loved to have family and friends over to their house, where there was always food and laughter. She will be missed greatly by those who loved her. We are comforted by the fact that she is without pain and, in heaven, where she will be reunited with her husband, Carl and son Tony, who died as an infant. Margaret is survived by two brothers, her sons; Carl of Los Alamos, New Mexico, David of Pasco, Lester and Margaret of Kennewick, Steve and Beth of Spokane, Mark of Kennewick and a daughter Carol Maier of Burbank. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and several great grandchildren. The family is very grateful to the wonderful care-givers and staff at Avalon for the love and care they gave to our Mother, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother these last years of her life.
