Mardelle Joan Brutzman-Kromminga Mardelle was born in Sunnyside, WA on August 22, 1933 to Harold and Verna Stowe, their only child. She passed away peacefully on March 13th with her family at her side. Mardelle grew up in Pasco Washington, graduating from Pasco High School in 1951. She graduated from Washington State College in 1955. (Go Cougs!) It was there that she met and married her first husband, Tom Brutzman. After college they spent a brief time in Seattle, relocating back to Kennewick in 1958. Mardelle was an active mom, being a den mother for both Cub Scouts and Campfire Girls. She was also a member of the Kennewick Jr. Women's Club, SISU, The Red Hat Society and Seasons. In 1967, Mardelle went to work full time, joining her husband at Brutzman's Office Supply. They enjoyed traveling the world for both business and pleasure, especially WSU Cougar football games. After Tom died in 2003 Mardelle continued to work, travel and enjoy her hobby of collecting and displaying Dickens Village houses. In 2008 she married Virgil Kromminga. Mom always said she was lucky to have found love twice in her life. Mardelle is survived by her husband, Virgil, her 3 children: Ken Brutzman and wife Valerie, Keith Brutzman and wife Karen, Kathy Brutzman-Webber and husband Neil. She has seven grandchildren: Nathan, Seth, Andrew, Christopher, Nicholas, Geoffrey and Stephanie as well as 2 great grandsons. Services will be held on Saturday, March 25th, at 2:00pm at Mueller's Chapel of the Falls, 314 W. 1st Ave., Kennewick, followed by internment at Desert Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Washington State University, Tri-Cities Chaplaincy or the charity of your choice.
