Marceil B. Rottinghaus, 68, of Davenport, WA, loving wife and mother to five girls, left this earth on Monday, September 29, 2008, in the comfort of her home in the Tri-Cities, from Leukemia. Marceil was a former long term resident of Pasco, WA, and member of St. Patrick's Parish for 32 years. Marceil and her husband Galen, were married in 1959, in Fidelity, KS and moved to Pasco, WA in the late 1960's to farm and raise five wonderful children. They would have celebrated their 50th Anniversary in 2009. In the years following retirement, she spent time generously with those close to her. Marceil embraced all that life had to offer, including RVing along the West Coast and Alaska, fishing, her favorite pastime, and remaining active with her family and close friends. In turn, she gave to the lives of others more than she had taken in her own. She was preceded in death by her parents Leo and Bertha Lierz; two brothers Lester and Victor Lierz; and a sister Cleta Mae Hammes all of Seneca, KS. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Galen, of Davenport, WA; her daughters Vicky Craig Rosencrans of Oak Harbor, WA, Karen Jeff Burns of Pasco, WA, Debbie Rottinghaus Larry McLanahan of Kennnewick, Denise Bill Albert of Rocklin, CA and Julie Rottinghaus of Kennewick, WA; including seven grandchildren, Joshua and Kyla Burns of Pasco, Madison Gould of Kennewick, Kyle and Ryan Albert of Rocklin, CA, and Abigail and Matthew Rosencrans of Oak Harbor, WA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Annual Giving, in care of Marceil Rottinghaus at P.O. Box 19024 Seattle, Washington 98109-1024 or at www.fhcrc.org.
