Lou was born in Wichita, KS on June 3, 1921. Lou was raised in Idaho Falls, ID. She married Lee Alexander on November 12, 1940 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Lee and Lou settled in Pasco in 1943. Lou was beloved as a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a great-great grandmother. Her door was always opened to family, neighbors, and friends for a cup of coffee, some sour dough hotcakes, and there was always room at the kitchen table for one more. Her loves included flowers of all types, but most especially the roses she grew, that later in her life were tended with love for her by Lee. Lou is survived by her husband, Lee Alexander; five daughters, Dodee Alexander, Lola Brown and Billie Steve McSwan, all of Pasco, Bonnie Avila of Hamilton, MT, Bobbie Dave Fischer of Spokane, and one son Alan Leslie Alexander of Pasco; her brother, Jess Jacque McCowin of Pasco; nineteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Viola Stroud, her brother Virgil Stroud and three grandchildren, Robby Brown, Katie and Kent Jackson. She will be loved and missed terribly by all that knew her. We want to give a special thanks to the staff and residents at Richland Rehab and Eagle Assisted Living where she spent the last year of her life. Union in Kennewick from 9:30a.m. to 10:30a.m. with a Graveside service to follow at 11:00a.m. at Desert Lawn Memorial Park located on the corner of 10th and Union in Kennewick.
