Loyd William Smith Our family is heart-broken by the sudden, unexpected passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather on Thursday, November 30, 2006 in Spokane, Washington. Loyd was born November 17, 1940 in Carterville, MO and moved to the Tri-Cities with his family in 1947. He married the love of his life, June Kuntz, on June 24, 1961 in Kennewick. They were blessed with 2 wonderful sons, Loyd Jeff Jeff and Wayne. He and June loved to be together, and they enjoyed a happy and fulfilling marriage. They enjoyed playing with their children and grandchildren, traveling, and riding the Harley Davidson and Gold Wing motorcycles. Loyd?s family was his delight and he is sorely missed. He worked for Franklin County Road Dept. for 13 years and formed many close friendships before starting his own business in 1978. Loyd, June, Jeff, and Wayne operated the well known and respected L.W. Smith Pump Service, Inc. Loyd always went the extra mile to provide high quality, thorough service. He taught his sons well, and they look forward to continuing in his footsteps. In business and at home, he was meticulous in doing things the right way. He was a hard worker, dedicated to his family and the business. Always generous and thinking of others, he helped those less fortunate and gave freely of his time and talents. He was member of the Lutheran Church of the Master. He will be remembered as an easy-going friend and a master storyteller. His parents, Carroll and Mildred Smith, predeceased him. Left to mourn are his wife June, son Jeff Sarah and 2 grandchildren, son Wayne Connie and 3 grandchildren. Friends are invited to a memorial service Wednesday, December 6 at 11:30 a.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Master, Pasco.
