Joe was born on Christmas Eve 1953 at Camp Hanford to Joseph and Rona Young. He passed on to our Lord on June 15, 2012 from brain cancer. His beloved wife, Brenda Young, survives him; along with his son John Young, daughter-in-law Brianna Young and his grandson, Wyatt Young. He is also survived by his sister, Kay; mother-In-Law, Maxine Christensen, his step-mother Karen Young and his aunt Emma Christensen. He is survived by his sister and brother in-laws: Sandra & Jim Meigs, Jerry & Kay Christensen, Jan & Lester Foster and many nieces and nephews. His parents, Joseph & Rona and his brother Edward precede him in death. Joe was a native Tri-Citian. He lived here all of his life except for his time in the Army. After the Army, Joe worked for Washington Public Power as a security guard for 15 years. In 1990, he married Brenda and became an instant husband, father and part of a loving family. Later, Joe went to Perry Tech and trained in Heating and Refrigeration. He then worked at Welch's, Bybee's and Reeser's food processing plants. Joe loved his country, his family and his right to be an individual. He was courageous and brave; willing to lay his life down for the things he believed in and loved. He will be missed. Services for Joe will be held Wednesday, June 20th, 2012, 10:00 a.m., at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union, Kennewick with viewing on Tuesday evening from 5 to 8:00 p.m.
