Johnathon Dean Mar lived a full-throttle life. Born on August 7, 1996, in Richland WA, he crawled early, walked early, and never stopped his high-speed love of life. Always in motion, his hands moved as quickly as his chatter. He often set the pace of family outings and activities with friends. He loved having friends over for a swim, hang out in the family basement, or texting a group of people to go to "Dutch" (Dutch Bros.) You might also find JD roaring around on his Honda VTR motorcycle, or working on cars with friends. He loved history, especially the WW II era, and read voraciously. He served in Young Marines March 2007 to Nov 2008. In recent years, he took up welding and wielded a hammer with deftness and skill. JD had a soft spot for his dogs, Samantha and Mercy. He also loved photography and snapped pictures of flowers, his brother David, and his sister Mikayla, sunsets, and his many friends. JD was due to graduate this spring, and planned to take a motorcycle trip with his Grandpa Herb, as well as work alongside his dad, Phil, fixing his car. He leaves behind siblings David and Mikayla, parents Phil and Staci, Grandparents Herb and Marguerite, cousins Elya, Kaitlyn, Micah, Jocelyn and Timothy, and Aunts and Uncles Kate & Larry Gross and Paul & Linda Mar. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Tom & Myrna, and an Uncle, Bill Sanders. He leaves numerous extended relatives, friends and other significant people who feel the JD-sized hole in their life. A celebration service will be held January 10, 2015, at 2 pm, at First Baptist Church, 1107 Wright Ave., Richland, WA.
