John Wayne Dillon, age 63, died June 11, 2015 in a car accident in Burbank, WA. John was born June 28, 1951 in Pendleton, OR to parents John J. and Mary Dillon. John attended 2nd - 12th grade at Columbia School District in Burbank graduating in 1969. John was a standout High School athlete and achieved recognitions for both sports and student life. His high school years were the high point of his life. John received his AA at Columbia Basin College and in 1971 married his childhood friend and high school sweetheart Cheryll Asher. John and Cheryll were married almost 44 years, living 39 of those in Burbank. In 1973 John's life changed forever when he suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm leaving him disabled. John worked hard for his independence and strived to show his abilities in spite of his disabilities. John assisted in delivering his wife's paper route in Burbank and was known for his faithful service. He was 1st mate for his parents touring riverboat business on the popular Sun Princess, cruising up and down the Columbia River. He found contentment with his family, sharing stories with old friends, was a "sports addict", and his current favorite activity was being Grandpa to his 4 grandsons. In the 5th grade, while watching a Billy Graham crusade on T.V., John accepted Jesus as his personal Savior. John is survived by his wife, Cheryll Dillon, Son John Tyler Dillon (Sara), Daughter Lacie Schreiber (T.J.), Daughter Kelsie Dillon (Justin), grandsons Tommy, Joey, John Orion, Asher, granddaughter expected August 2015, mother Mary Dillon, Sister Denise Sorenson (Paul) and niece Michelle Booth (Chris). John is preceded in death by his father, John (Jack) Dillon. A memorial service for John will be Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 11am, First Baptist Church, Burbank, WA 723 W. Humorist Rd.
