"Cowboy" John was born in Wendell, Idaho on July 5th, 1931, to Clarence Niccum and Jewel Short. He was 1 of 6 children and passed away on September 28th, 2021, in Richland, WA at 90 years old. John attended school up to the 8th grade when he started to break horses and work on the farm to earn a living. He joined the Airforce on January 11th, 1951, where he became a Second-Class Airman in the 5th Air Police Squadron until being discharged on Jan 10th, 1955. In 1954 he married Jean Stevens and they had 2 children, Lynn and Carolyn. He later re-married in 1960 to Sharon Roinstad, following the death of his first wife and had 2 more children, David and James. In 1989 he married Charlotte Miller where they were able to enjoy 5 beautiful years of their retirement traveling the states before they took on raising their granddaughters, Sierra and Ariel. John enjoyed yard-saling, fishing, being at the ocean, spending time with family, traveling, horse races and of course, meeting new people. He was a very happy man and was always able to bring a smile to your face. Was one who would give you the shirt off his back no matter who you were. John is survived by his 4 children, 17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and wives. He was a loving and caring Person who will be missed by many.
