John Howard passed away on May 27 peacefully in his Kennewick home. He was preceded in death by his wife Sally Howard, brother Al and sister Doris. He is survived by his two children John Howard and Holly Howard. His grandchildren Kurt, Sara, Dannie, Gabbie and John Paul. His great grandchildren Rowan and Georgia. John was born January 10, 1925 in Chester, Pennsylvania. He worked for Sun Oil Co in Marcus Hook, PA until his retirement. He has lived in Kennewick for about 28 years. His favorite pastime was playing black jack in the afternoon at Coyote Bob's Casino in Kennewick which he enjoyed until shortly before his death. John was a WW II Navy veteran and served on the USS Cabot out of Philadelphia and the USS Badoeng Strait out of Washington. There will be a graveside service with military honors Saturday June 10 at 1:00 pm at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 1401 S. Union St., right across from the mausoleum. Everyone is welcome to attend.
