John "Jack" Hall, 62, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2009. He was born to William and Denise Hall on July 27th, 1946 and was a lifetime Kennewick resident. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents Charles and Inga Hall, great uncle Ray Hall, aunt Leona Buker, uncle Fred Hall, uncle and aunt Walt and Kitty Hembree. He is survived by brother Guy Betty Terlot, niece Gloria Ranes and nephew Ronnie Hall all from Greenville, South Carolina; aunt Jean Hall, cousins Beth Larosa, John Hall, Larry Hall, Sarah Jansen, Jeanne Sutten and 8 second cousins. Cousin John provided wonderful care during the early years of John's "Jack's" illness. He is also survived by lifetime friend, Howard Remy and his personal assistant, Margie White. The family thanks Margie for her dedication to him through the years. Upon graduation from Kennewick High School in 1964, John attended CBC before starting his antique business from his home. In the early years he made buying trips to England, the south and the east coast, as well as frequenting live auctions. His treasures always came with a story. Family members and customers would anxiously await shipments in hopes of finding another great piece. For more than 40 years John bought and sold antiques, primarily to dealers. Because of his broad knowledge, he was often called to do appraisals and estate sales in many parts of the country. He loved being a businessman and always looked for opportunities. John loved history, debating many topics, home cooked meals, a good game of pinochle and holidays with family. He kept his great sense of humor to the end. Our beloved John suffered much in the last years from complications of diabetes, yet he fought hard and had amazing hope. His many stories will continue to bring smiles and laughter as we remember the place he held in our hearts. We thank the Lord that he has been set free. We would like to thank Dr. Cole, the staff at Parks Hill Adult Family Home where he resided and all other care providers throughout the years. Viewing will be Sunday, May 10th from 5-8pm at Mueller's Chapel of the Falls on 1st and Dayton St. in Kennewick. The service will be on Monday, May 11th at 10am at Desert Lawn Mausoleum, on 10th and Union in Kennewick.
